“Now that you know what your TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) is, how are you going to lower it?”

This requires filtration. With adequate filtration, it is possible to reduce the TDS level to ensure that whenever you are consuming water, it is in the “Excellent” category. The benefits of this not only reduce risks to your health, but much more!

Filtration for TDS usually takes place within a RO “Reverse Osmosis” filter unit. There are other types of filtrations, like Deionization and Distillation, but these are not as efficient as RO filtration.

There is only one way of testing water for what is called “TDS” Total Dissolved Solids: a TDS meter.

TDS is the amount of “inorganic salts*” which can be found in water. Basically speaking, this is anything that contaminates the purity of the water. Some of these solids can cause health issues.

TDS Ratings:
Ideal drinking water is from 0-50 TDS
Acceptable drinking water is from 50-150
Average tap water is from 160-400 TDS

*TDS salts include calcium, potassium, chloride, sulfates and many more.

“Reverse Osmosis is a process by which water is forced through a membrane filter.”

This filter has tiny porous materials which allow only the tiniest of molecules (such as water) to pass through. This means that solids are left behind in the membrane, and in the process, will have been removed from the water.

The results are healthy, good tasting, pure water. We would love to visit with you about our RO systems, that not only provide great safe water, but also can provide that water Hot, Ambient, or Cold…with ICE! All from the same unit!
